Fall Home Decor Blocks

I love being able to reuse or recycle something and I was able to do that with today's post.  The blocks were cut from scrap pieces of 2x4's (thanks honey!) and painted with brown acrylic paint from my stash.  I then decorated them using Little Yellow Bicycle's Hello Fall line.  All the pieces were scraps or were left over from the scrapbook page and cards I made.

Halloween Treats & Cards

I had a "spooktacular" time creating these fun Halloween projects for an upcoming class being offered at From The Heart Scrapbooking.  I used Bella Blvd's Too Cute To Spook line and SRM Sticker's tube and halloween stickers.
The tube is filled with candy corn and displayed in a tube holder created from cardstock & using a template from splitcoaststampers. I was able to make this using all scraps.
This fun pocket cards was made using an Accucut die. I cut the witches out of the patteren paper and adhered them to the card insert along with the clear SRM sticker.   It's embellished with fun glittered tulle, ribbon and buttons.

The last project made was a mini gable box from an Accucut die.  I quickly decorated with ribbon and a cute "Happy Haunting" sticker!

Halloween Decor

I love to decorate for Halloween and when I came across a paper miche witches hat at Michael's I just knew what I was going to do!  I first applied two coats of black acrylic paint.  Next, I added some orange glittered tulle around the base.  I rummaged through my drawers and found some flowers, bling and a this lil' spider.  I really like how it turned out.

The "mummy" is made from a recycled tin can and covered with twill.  I distressed the edges of twill a little bit then added the eyes.  Inside the can is a bag of candy corn.  I used scraps from the Mischievous line to make a bag topper.  The wording was created in word and printed on cardstock.  It reads " Treats from your Mummy."

Lastly, a petal card made with My Mind's Eye Mischievous line.  I saw this tutorial on Splitcoast and had to make one. It's another great way to use Spellbinders.   This pretty easy to make and has a lot of "wow" factor.

Paper Pumpkins

I just finished creating some paper pumpkins.  I thought these were perfect for bringing a little "fall" into my store decor.  These are very easy to make and can be created using some many different pattern papers.  The options are endless!  Use some fun Halloween paper for spooky pumpkins!  I might just have to make a few of those next.

The large pumpkin was created using My Minds Eye papers, Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves Die and Chestnut Roan chalk ink.  The small pumpkin uses Imaginsce paper, Bazzill cardstock and EK Success leaf punch.  Enjoy!

Halloween Traditions

Here is a card I made for the "Get Your Diva On" September Challenge.  When Sankari talked me into doing this as my first challenge I wasn't sure if I could pull it off.  I had to choose one color for the Monochromatic challenge, mine was gray.  When I first saw this My Mind's Eye paper, I knew it was going to be perfect for Halloween.  As difficult as this challenge was, I am happy with the end result.

Spooky Banner

Today is the day!  I am officially a Blogger now.  I've wanted to do for a while, so I am very excited to share some of my recent projects. In preparation for Halloween I created a "spooky" banner using My Minds Eye Mischievous line.  The banner is embellished with glittered letters, chipboard elements, glimmer mist, distress ink, ribbon and more.
